MudQuest

An offline-first network for off-roaders. Your convoy shares one live map over a phone-to-phone mesh — no cell signal, no towers, no server in the middle.

Overview

MudQuest is an iOS app for people who drive where there is no signal. Instead of routing a convoy through the cloud, it forms a direct radio mesh between the phones in the group over peer-to-peer Wi‑Fi — so the shared live map, the chat, the dropped pins and the push-to-talk all keep working with the towers hours behind you.

The app is built around three surfaces: **Discovery**, which shows the rigs physically around you right now; **Convoy**, a replicated party with one live map, turn-by-turn navigation and voice; and **My Content**, where a finished run is saved, replayed, extracted into a re-runnable trail, or exported as a short film.

It is written in Swift 6 with strict concurrency and SwiftUI, on Apple's Multipeer Connectivity plus a custom cross-platform mesh SDK, with Mapbox for the map and offline downloads. The cloud is deliberately memory, not the hero: sign in and your content backs up, but nothing about the mesh needs it.
